PRIVATE ESCAPE 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS
Barolo, truffles and hilltop villages
Vineyards as far as the eye can see and small medieval villages where time seemed to have stopped, among the sweet curves of the hills. The region is a dream for any amateur of gastronomy and wine, as well as curious travellers looking for unique places and preserved scenery.
For experienced wine lovers, seven different DOCG wines are produced in the “tenute” or “cantine” (the vineyard domains) of the Langhe, which rank amongst the best PDOs of the Italian peninsula. The Piedmont vineyards are protected with the Unesco World Heritage list.
As for gastronomy amateurs, they will love the prodigious white Alba truffle from the Langhe, which is an attraction for food-lovers around the world, as well as the Bra village, centre for the Slow Food movement, a reference in quality and well-minded food.
To top it all, the beautiful landscapes and amazing architecture of palaces, medieval streets, churches and castles of the region make it a rich cultural spot.
Isn’t it a dream to combine gastronomy, art and lifestyle in the same journey? Especially when its curator is the two Michelin-starred Chef Michelangelo Mammoliti!
“All I see are hills, they fill the sky and the earth” wrote Cesare Pavese about the Langhe. Its castles, small medieval towns and churches nestle in this landscape of infinite hilltops.
Michelangelo Mammoliti’s gourmet Piedmont
The two Michelin-starred young Chef invites you to discover “his” Piedmont. Because he loves his land and knows every village, vineyard and producer, he exclusively shared for L'Hedonist clients his favourite restaurants and secret spots, places that inspire him endlessly.
In Bra, taste the celebrated butter and cheeses “tuma dla Paja” and the escarun of the Chef’s exceptional cheesemaker.
A Michelin-starred dinner in Michelangelo Mammoliti’s brand-new restaurant, La Rei Natura. You will receive an extra-special attention.
A high point of your trip in the Langhe, land of the white and black truffle. Go treasure-hunting with your “trifulau” and their dog.
The Dogliani family welcomes you in their beautiful region of La Morra to taste their most delicate wines: the nebbiolo, bussia, brunate and boscareto.
An exclusive spot, courtesy of Michelangelo Mammoliti, to taste Alba’s barbera, bussia, boscareto and Barolo wine.
